M. Keith Woolley

There’s A Good Man M. Keith Woolley, 1918-2008 Marcus Keith Woolley, age 90, of Farmington Utah, a marvelous and eternal companion for over 64 years to Marilyn Ethington, passed away June16, 2008 at North Canyon Care Center. Born to Marcus Eakle Woolley and Verna Ford, January 25, 1918 in Centerville, Utah, he and his family moved to Elwood and then Tremonton Utah where his sisters Mary Woolley Larsen, and Colleen Woolley Neilson, and brother, Vaughn Woolley were raised. Keith graduated from Bear River High School in 1936. He filled a mission to the North Central States during WWII (1936-1941.) He met his wife, Marilyn Ethington, in the spring of 1942 while teaching the gospel doctrine class in her ward. When she asked her father, Bishop Ethington, what he thought of Keith Woolley, he said, “There’s a good man.” Loving, caring, and strong, Keith was a good provider for his family, working for the Rio Grande Railroad from 1942 – 1981, running a thriving honey business with 300 hives of bees, raising cattle, and farming on the side. Honest and fair with everyone, Keith was someone who was sensitive to all those around him. He would do anything in his power to serve those in need. He had a perpetual sense of humor. “With my fingers,” was his reply when asked how he was feeling. He is preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Ford Woolley (1992) and Marcus Keith Woolley (1995). He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Ethington Woolley and daughters, Karen Woolley Ericson, and Lynette Woolley Shupe (Rex); and daughters-in-law: Premy Woolley Pearson (Wayne Ford) of Kaysville and Estelle Woolley Stam (Marcus) of Elwood; eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Keith was a friend to all. He will be missed by all who knew him, and welcomed by many in the worlds to come. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 N. Main. Friends may call Sunday June 22nd from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Monday 9:30 – 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment Farmington City Cemetery.
