Mabel Alice Thompson Anderson

Mabel Alice Thompson Anderson, 97, passed away November 4, 2017 at Apple Village in Layton, Utah.

She was born June 24, 1920 in Irene, South Dakota the daughter of James Christian and Alice Ruby Mae Reeves Thompson.  She settled in Utah in 1952.

Mabel married Walter Ray Anderson on November 20, 1941 in Nebraska.  He preceded her in death on August 4, 2004.

She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, embroidery, painting, gardening and spending time with her family and her many friends.

Surviving are her children, Marilyn (Gerry) Howe, Sharon (Ramon) Dinsdale, Phyllis (Roger, deceased) Close, Lois (Bill) Adler, Beverly (Nick) Lotito, Lauren (Carol) Anderson, sisters, Fern Lyngstad, Pearle Bak, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, and grandson, Steven Howe.

Cremation has taken place with a memorial to follow at a later date.

The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Apple Village.  She loved everybody there.  We also wish to thank all of the wonderful people who cared for her from Rocky Mountain Home Health , especially Seline Bleak and Lorrie Lovato and all of the staff and volunteers at Rocky Mountain Hospice, especially Heather, James and Pauline.
