Macey Shae Steckelberg

Macey Shae Steckelberg, 21, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Macey was born on October 21, 1991 in Ogden Utah. She went to Roy High school where she graduated with her twin sister, Maranda, in 2010.

Macey last worked at Autoliv in Ogden but was preparing to enroll in college to pursue her dream of becoming a chef. Macey also enjoyed so many different activities like snowboarding, water skiing, camping and hiking, dancing, sky diving, music, and many other adventurous hobbies. Most of all though, Macey loved her family and friends and possessed a natural charm, beauty and radiance, that drew people in the moment you looked at her angelic smile. Macey is survived by her parents Ken and Angela (Webb) Steckelberg, her sisters Erica, Alyssa, Maranda, and Kylah, her grandparents along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Macey was preceded in death by her aunt, Tina Webb, and great-grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18th at 2 p.m. at the Kanesville Ward Chapel, 3300 South 4700 West, West Haven The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Please come and show your love and support for Macey. She would want you all there. Special thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and McKay Dee Hospitals, her doctors Blake Welling, Howard Coleman, Sean Strope, and the many nurses and staff for the special attention and care you gave Macey. We would also like to thank the many, many friends and family members who have showed so much love and support and helped us in many desperate times. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to America First Credit Union under Macey Steckelberg Charitable Fund, to help with funeral expenses.
