Madeline Elizabeth D. Baysinger

March 15, 1922 ~ January 9, 2017

Elizabeth D. Baysinger, 94, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017.  She was born on March 15, 1922 in Battle Mountain, Nevada, to Joe and Rose Madeline Pettus DiGrazia.

Elizabeth grew up in Wells, Nevada, and graduated from Wells High School.  She lived in Wells for 84 years before moving to Ogden, Utah, where she resided for the last 10 years.

She married Grady Martin, they had two sons, and were later divorced.  She married Charles D. Baysinger on December 26, 1956, in Elko, Nevada.  Charles passed away on August 18, 1959.

Elizabeth was a member of the Catholic Church and the Alter Society as well as the Post Mestas Guild, Business and Professional Women – BPW, and the National Association of Postmasters of the US.  She worked as a Postmaster for the United States Post Office.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, ceramics, and the Utah Jazz.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Lonnie Martin of Salt Lake City and Gary (Patricia) Martin of Ogden; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph E DiGrazia; and sister, Margaret Huggert.  She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Baysinger and her parents.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 12 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, South Ogden.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
