OGDEN- Madge Crompton Barton passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 incident to age.

Madge was born on November 26, 1926 in Ogden a daughter of Harold and Glades Rose Purdy Crompton. She was raised and educated in Ogden where she lived all of her life

She married Keith Clifton Barton on April 11, 1947 in Ogden. He preceded her in death August 20, 2004.

Madge worked for the Ogden School District as a secretary. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she loved to teach Primary.

She loved to cook, read and do embroidery and loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Madge is survived by her sons, Paul C. (Cinda) Barton; David K.( Ronilyn) Barton; Curtis C. (Brook) Barton; one daughter, Nancy B. (Mike) Lakey; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Gene C. (Junior) Neuenschwander and Ann C. (Joe) Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson, Bryan Lakey.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street. Family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ogden City School Foundation or LDS Missionary Fund.
