Madolin J. Jensen
OGDEN – Madolin Jane Ball Jensen, 102, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Mt. Ogden Health and Rehab Center.
She was born in Coalville, Utah on February 21, 1906 to Joseph Wellington and Eliza Lewis Beech Ball.
Madolin married Larmor Christian Jensen on July 21, 1925 in Brigham City, Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 9, 1956. Larmor preceded her in death on April 5, 1988.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Visiting Teacher for many years.
Madolin enjoyed attending the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She loved bowling, fishing, hunting, camping and especially family gatherings. She loved everyone and everyone loved her.
Surviving are one son, Clifton L. (Lois) Jensen, Sunset; five grandchildren, Larry Clifton Jensen, Lynn Miles (Karol) Stephens, LuAnn Stephens and fiancée Earl Colyer, Ranette Brower, Connie (Earl) Stewart, 14 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter Norma Jensen Stephens, son-in-law Miles B. Stephens, three sisters Gladys Estes, Delphia Jones, Zella Stone, and one brother Wellington Beech Ball.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Mt. Ogden Health and Rehab Center for the love and care given to Madolin. Also, thanks to Hearts for Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
