Mae M. Kariger
OGDEN – Mae Martha Clark Kariger, 86, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 surrounded by her family, of causes incident to age.
She was born August 23, 1924 in Ogden, a daughter of Magnus and Mary Nielsen Clark.
On November 28, 1947, Mae married George W. Kariger in Elko, Nevada.
She was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School in 1942.
Mae was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was an avid reader and talented gardener spending much time in her beautiful gardens. Mae was an accomplished seamstress and designed clothes for her daughter, nieces, granddaughter, friends, and her dolls. She was also an accomplished porcelain doll maker enjoying her association with her many friends that shared her interests.
Surviving are her husband George, three sons, James M. Kariger, Randy C. Kariger, Kevin D. Kariger, one daughter, Dianne K. Garrelts, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one brother, Robert C. Clark.
Preceding Mae in death were three sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
