Mae E. Kenley
ROY a" After a peaceful departure, surrounded by her loving family, Mae Ellen Chambers Kenley has moved on to her next great adventure.
She was born July 7, 1920 in Ogden, a daughter of Parley B. and Ellen Elean Orton Chambers.
Mae married Wilmer "Jack" Kenley Sr. on June 22, 1937 in Ogden. Jack preceded her in death on November 15, 1997.
She lived in Liberty, Ogden and Roy.
Mae was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Visiting Teacher, Primary Teacher and Nursery Leader.
In her younger days, Mae liked to hike and explore, rock hunting, gardening, crafts, crocheting, traveling collecting antiques and spending time with her grandchildren whom she treasured.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Wilmer E. (Beth) Kenley, Roy; Keith C. (Donna) Kenley, Taylor; Tanya Robinson, Lava Hot Springs, ID; Donna Peck, Soda Springs, ID; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Earl Chambers, Liberty; June Barker, Roy.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Vera, Clara and Betty, one brother, Burton, one son, Gene and one granddaughter, Vickie.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquists'' Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
