Mae Mabel (Unger) Lindley

OGDEN–Mae Mabel (Unger) Lindley, 92, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Ann, under the care of hospice, of causes incident to age.
She was born June 30, 1929, in Topton, PA, the youngest daughter of Harry B. and Effie M. Unger.
Mae married Willis B. Lindley on July 19, 1961, in Ogden, and they were married for 12 years until his untimely passing.
She lived most of her life in Ogden where she worked for Coleman Knitting Mills, and Mountain Bell, retiring after 24 years, and then working an additional seven years at TRW.
Mae enjoyed playing cards, toll painting, and cross stitching, and was a great seamstress.
Mae was an extraordinarily strong woman, raising two small children after her husband’s passing, shoveling snow, mowing the lawn, and digging up and repairing sprinklers on her own. She made many friends over the years and took great comfort staying connected with them on the phone.
Surviving is her brother, Donald (Linda); daughters, Kathy and Ann (Ralph); and son Greg (Jeannie).
Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Annie (George) and Irene (Tom); and brothers, Paul (Mildred) and Harry “Junior” who passed at 16 years of age, and son-in-law, Willard.
Per Mae's wishes friends may visit with family on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her favorite nephew, Dale and his wife, Gloria, for all the love, help, support and errands ran in Mae’s behalf out of love.
