Malaythong Vongsavath

Our beloved wife and mom, Malaythong Vongsavath, 61, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Davis Hospital.

Malay was born in Vientiane, Laos on February 3, 1950 and was adopted by Saveng and Khankeo Vongsavath.

May 21, 1980 was the first day of her new life in America where she lived in Anderson Island, Washington. She later moved to Utah and received her U.S. Citizenship in 1991.

Mom was a great shopper, loved to cook and garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her family was her greatest joy and nothing compares to the love she had for her grandchildren.

Malay is survived by her husband, Feuanekeo; three daughters, Darounphone, Clinton; Darounsavat (Phearuth), Roy; Darounkeo, Roy; three sons, Darounthong (Kim), Hooper; Darounsavanh, Harrisville; Darounphet, Clinton; nine grandchildren; her father , four brothers and four sisters.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother and one sister.

The family misses you and will love you forever.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30th at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.

Cremation entrusted to Lindquist''s Crematory, following the services.
