Mandy Mae Anderson Fitzgerald Mitchell returned to her loving Heavenly Father’s arms on May 2, 2022, at the age of 46, at her home in Layton, Utah. Suddenly from natural causes due to a bronchial infection. She was born in Burlington, Colorado, on February 27, 1976, to Alice and Danny Anderson, who later divorced. Mandy was the oldest of six children, and she learned quickly how to rule the roost with her siblings.
Mandy grew up in American Fork, Utah, until eight years old and moved to Layton, Utah. She was a staple in the neighborhood in Layton, running up and down the street with her sisters.
Mandy graduated with the class of 1995 from Layton High School six months early. Mandy worked hard by taking early morning seminary so that she could take the classes needed to graduate early. She was always very proud of herself for doing this. She took great pride in her education and was a lifelong learner. Mandy married Daniel Mitchell on October 10, 1996. They had two beautiful children, McKenzie and Nathan. They later divorced.
Mandy loved music, especially Royal Bliss, fedora hats, and writing quotes she would share with others and post. She loved to do crafts and scrapbooks, which she was great at. For the last eight years, Mandy was part of the BNI group, which allowed her to network with other businesses and brought a great spirit of connecting businesses together. She was also great at connecting with the new members and helping them to get the confidence to continue with the group. This gave her a great purpose, along with another family group. Over the years, Mandy has worked at many different jobs. She worked at A+ Northern Utah Doors as the official marketing and CSR manager with her dad Albert for the last seven years.
We all loved her smile and her laugh, which could be contagious. She was a spitfire throughout her life. Mandy was competitive, like playing card games with her family and friends and many other parts of her life. She was a very caring and compassionate person. When she walked into a room, you felt loved by her. She would go out of her way to help you if she was able to at the time, even if it was a hug or a quote she had just read or written down. Mandy had great faith in Christ up until the day she was back in her Heavenly Father’s arms.
