Manuel “Tom” R. Orozco
CLEARFIELD – Manuel “Tom” Rodriguez Orozco, 81, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 surrounded by his family from complications due to a stroke.
Manuel was born on December 1, 1925 in Mexico the son of Fernando and Ernstina Rodriguez Orozco.
He was raised and educated in Arizona.
He married Donna M. Keller on October 17, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Hill Air Force Base retiring after 34 years of service.
He enjoyed many things in life, being with his family, going camping, sports, golfing and crossword puzzles. His favorite sport was baseball.
He is survived by his wife Donna, and three children: Linda (Nick) Hohlios, Robert Orozco, Guy (Jan) Orozco, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two brothers Ernest Martinez, AZ; and Hector Martinez, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father and brother.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 1, 2007 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Prayer service 7 p.m.
