Manuel Bustos Manuel Bustos, 75, passed away December 24, 2008. He was born December 7, 1933 in Buenos Aries, Argentina to Fernando M. and Maria Lydia Angel Bustos. Manuel was reared and educated in Argentina. As teen he fought against Peron in the Civil War and attended Military School. At 23 years, he graduated from the U of BA with an M.D. He had a strong desire to become a heart surgeon and moved to the US to follow this path. In 1971 his dream was realized. Marjorie Cooper became his wife on February 7, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked as a surgeon in Houston for 35 years, then retired and moved to Bountiful in 2006. Dr. Bustos was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Stone Creek Ward High Priest Group. He loved to play tennis and spend vacations on Florida beaches. He is survived by six children: sons Ricardo Bustos, Fernando (Holley) Bustos, Alejandro (Julie) Bustos, Daniel (Lori) Bustos, Manuel (Lauren) Bustos; daughter Andrea Bustos-Miller (Tommy); 15 grandchildren; one sister Yi Ya Bustos. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11 am at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may call 9:45-10:45 am prior to services.
