Marc Edwards Browning

January 24, 1986 — December 14, 2024

Marc Edwards Browning passed away on December 14, 2024, in San Diego, CA. He was 38 years old. Born on January 24, 1986, in Seattle, Washington to Christopher and Elizabeth Browning, he was the youngest of three. He is survived by sister, Ann (Nate) Hollingsworth; brother, John W. Browning; and his cherished nephew and niece, Traverse and Alden Hollingsworth.

After a full and happy childhood, at 15 years of age Marc was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Like millions of others who develop a severe mental illness, his life became a revolving door of hardships, misfortune, and trials of medication compliance as he cycled in and out of treatment. Despite his suffering, Marc’s sweet soul shone brightly. He embraced the simple joys of life by cooking Thanksgiving dinners and reading Zane Grey westerns. He also found great purpose in helping those around him who struggled. He will be remembered with so much love and compassion by family and friends as sweet, kind, and gentle.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, where he will finally be at eternal peace.

Please no gifts or flowers. If you wish to help others suffering from severe mental illnesses, please consider a donation to the Treatment Advocacy Center https://www.tac.org/ or Schizophrenia and Psychosis Action Alliance. https://sczaction.org/
