Marcus Gerry Harris

Our Heavenly Father welcomed our beloved brother, father, and uncle, Marcus Gerry Harris, 45, home on May 24, 2024. 

Marcus was born to Verda Harris on December 11, 1979, in Ogden, Utah. He attended Ogden High School where he was active in sports.

Marcus had the best smile and could brighten anyone’s day when they saw him. He was an avid collector of Jordan’s, it would be hard to find anyone with more than he had in his collection. His true passion was spending quality time with his daughter, his mini-me, “Sai-Sai”.

He is survived by his kids, Jordan Harris-Williams, Persayia “Sai-Sai” Harris, Daxton Valdez and Cashia Harris; sisters, Shelia Harris-Flowers of Seattle, Washington and Jill Harris-Moran of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Michael “Sterling” Harris of Ogden, Utah, Maceo Harris of Salt Lake City, Utah and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling R Harris and Verda (Person) Harris.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of his close friends and associates for their well-wishes and prayers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd.
