Marek Lamph

Marek Thayer Lamph was born on Saturday February 01, 2014 at 2:47 p.m. to parents Ken and Sallissa Lamph at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.  He weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces and was 18 ¼ inches long. Marek’s family was blessed with almost 2 days of joy before he passed peacefully in their arms and went to his heavenly home at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, February 03, 2014.

Marek experienced holding hands, hugs and kisses, and listening as his mommy, daddy and big brother sang him songs and told him stories about their family, all the while being told “I love you” an uncountable number of times.

Marek gave us a lifetime of love during his short earthly time and is deeply loved by his mommy and daddy, big brother Duncan, his grandparents, his aunts and uncles, his cousins and many others. Marek will always remain his parents’ precious baby and Duncan’s little brother, who are blessed with knowledge that they will be together for time and all eternity.

In lieu of flowers we would be pleased to have you support the phenomenal Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of University of Virginia in their mission to help other children and their families. We give a special Thank you to “The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation” who provided a volunteer photographer to record Marek’s short time with us and Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, who have handled all the arrangements.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 15th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
