Margaret R. Beyda WASHINGTON TERRACE – Margaret R. Sneddon Beyda, 87, died Monday, January 7, 2008 from complications of a stroke. She was born September 26, 1920 in Glencoe, Wyoming, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Wales Sneddon. On October 14, 1939, Margaret married Mickey M. Beyda in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Mickey preceded her in death March 22, 1983. She was raised in Diamondville, Wyoming, moving to Washington Terrace in 1942. Margaret became a member of Community United Methodist Church after moving to Washington Terrace. She was a secretary for the Weber County School District for 33 years and a member of the Weber County Schools Retirement Association. Margaret’s life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Prior to a stroke 12 years ago that affected her eyesight, she loved attending their games and other activities. In recent years her life revolved around family gatherings, weekly phone visits with her sister Vivian, getting her hair done, and hearing about her family’s many activities and travels. Surviving are two daughters, Connie (Michael) Beus, Washington Terrace; Carol (Scott “Chip”) Nelson, Ogden; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Vivian Roberts, Thompson Falls, MT; and sister-in-law, Anne Sneddon, Ogden. Preceding Margaret in death were her husband, parents, brother Charles Sneddon, brother-in-law Albert Roberts and nephew Russell Roberts. A memorial service will be held Friday at 12 Noon at Community United Methodist Church, 163 West 4800 South (“Laker Way”), Washington Terrace, with the Reverend Diane Bell officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Prior to the memorial service the family will have a private graveside service. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Community United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
