Margaret Bippes

October 10, 1944 — May 30, 2019

Margaret (Ann) Bippes, the best grandma, mom and wife, passed away unexpectedly and entirely too soon, on May 30, 2019.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Jack Bippes, daughter, Melissa Bippes, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bippes, grandchildren, Reilly Shook and Conner Bippes, as well as many extended family, in-laws and her adopted family - her wonderful life-long friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Jonah Norton, brother, Ron Norton and son, Scott Bippes.

Ann was born on October 10, 1944, in Evansville, Indiana but grew up as an Army brat traveling the world and living in many places including Japan and France. She continued the life by marrying a military man who took her too many more places such as Turkey, Germany and finally landing her here in Utah where she has lived for the past 37 years.

Ann loved to entertain, play hoot loot, watch WWII documentaries, decorate and shop.  Many weekends were spent looking for the latest thing for her home and the next project for her husband and daughter.  Her greatest joy was decorating for Christmas and spoiling her grandchildren rotten, she was their biggest fan and cheerleader.  She left a huge hole in the hearts of those who loved her, and our lives won’t be the same without her wit and love.  She will be remembered for her generous spirit and for making everyone feel welcome and loved.

We want to thank the ICU nurses at both Ogden Regional and the Huntsman Cancer Institute for the extraordinary care and kindness they showed Ann and our family throughout this process.

Please join us in celebrating her amazing life at an Open House on June 12, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1232 S. Valhalla Dr., Clearfield, Utah.

Ann had a very soft heart for animals, especially dogs, spoiling as many as she could like they too were her children, so in lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter as she did for many years.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
