Margaret Louella Mills Williams Hadley

December 23, 1921 ~ March 23, 2015

Margaret Louella Mills Williams Hadley, our cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, March 23, 2015.  Margaret was born on December 23, 1921 in Webster City, Iowa, the second oldest child of Bernard and Elizabeth Rosella Mills.

Margaret moved to Havre, Montana where she met and married Calvin Mark Williams in 1938.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.  They were married 53 years and together raised five children.  Calvin passed away on December 31, 1991.  Margaret married Derlin R. Hadley on November 30, 1996. Derlin and Margaret spent 16 wonderful years together traveling, enjoying life, and each other’s company.  Derlin passed away on September 24, 2012.

She retired after 25 years from the Pediatric Nursing at McKay Dee Hospital.

Margaret was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings.  She was a very hard worker, always having a project to complete or work to get done.  She had an amazing green thumb and anything she planted and cared for grew abundantly.  She loved to quilt, having made quilts for all her daughters and grandchildren.  She crocheted many hats and slippers for needy children around the world.  She loved to travel and spend time visiting with her children and grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Gloria Berrett, Ogden; Judy (Martin) Williams-Holt, Spokane, WA; Debra (John) Heslop, West Weber, and Candy (Rodney Wisner) Bushell, Ogden; 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd and Robert (Mary) Mills; and sisters, Florence Ewing, Lila Johanson, and Mary (Lamond) Frost.  She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Calvin and Derlin; son, Edward Mark; daughter-in-law, Carrie; great-grandson, CJ Savage; parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Rushton Heights Ward, 1550 Rushton St., Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
