Margaret Udy Hanni

SOUTH OGDEN – Margaret Udy Hanni passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the age of 89.
She was born on July 26, 1926 in Brigham City, Utah, the daughter of Austin and Mabel Pett Udy. She graduated from Bear River High School.
Margaret married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Max Hanni on September 4, 1944 in Clovis, New Mexico. Their vows were later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She was married to Kenneth for 66 years before his passing in 2010.
She was a wonderful homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She retired from IRS.
Margaret was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints South Ogden 3rd Ward. She served in many callings including Ogden Temple Baptistery and in the Nashville Tennessee Mission with her husband. She loved visiting teaching and was ward supervisor for over 20 years.
Margaret will be dearly missed by her children, Wayne (Annette) Hanni, Layton; Craig (Pam) Hanni, Ogden; Brenda (Perry) Madson, Farmington; and Kirk (Becky) Hanni, Clearfield; as well as her 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Joyce Weese and Doris Foster; brothers, John Udy, Dean Udy, and Dennis Udy; and a special sister-in-law, Geraldine Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at South Ogden 3rd Ward, 4075 Orchard Ave. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. the church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.
