Margaret Nancy Mikesell

Nancy Mikesell, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.  She was the daughter of Wilbert and Elah Card Hilbish, born on November 3, 1934 in Tampa, Florida.  She grew up, graduated from high school, and lived in Tampa until 1955 when she moved to Ogden.

She married James D. Mikesell on July 8, 1955 in Ogden, Utah.  They were married for almost 59 years.

Nancy was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.  She served on the Altar Guild and helped manage The Attic gift shop at the church.  She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for more than 30 years and retired in 1999.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and baking.  Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, James, Ogden; son, James Jr. (Jodi), Ogden; daughters, Holly (John) Morris, Las Vegas, NV; and Laura (Patrick) Clark, Ogden; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and sister, Ann Herrington, Roswell, GA.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 2374 Grant Ave.  Interment to follow at the Good Shepherd Garden Columbarium.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Good Shepherd Foundation (Good Shepherd Episcopal Church), American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association.
