Margaret Mary Pickering nee Doucette
October 28, 1987~January 7, 2017

This past Saturday evening we lost our beautiful daughter Maggie.  She has gone home to our Lord.  As beautiful as Maggie was physically, her physical beauty couldn’t hold a candle to her spiritual beauty.  Maggie loved without reservation.  She loved those she knew and those she didn’t.  She would, in her short life, meet and befriend many young women and mothers.  She shared her passions, her struggles and her triumphs.  She would lead many to Christ, and to those she couldn’t give to Him, she still showed His great love.  Maggie’s love, humor and wit have blessed the lives of many people.  She gave her life for her God, her husband and her children.  She was a devoted wife to her husband, a loving mother, a teacher, a friend, a mentor and a deeply committed Christian.  She leaves behind a husband and 4 beautiful children whom she loved nearly as deeply as her Father in Heaven.

Maggie is survived by her husband John Michael Pickering (Mike); her children John Charles (Charlie, 6) Evelyn Hazel (Evie, 4), Leah Lois (LeLo, 2) and Oliver Michael (Ollie, 2 mo); her brother Jonathan (Jon) Doucette; parents Cynthia (Cindy) Doucette nee Cook and Charles (Chuck) Doucette of O’Fallon, IL., John Pickering and Marnie Pickering of Bakersfield, CA.; William Charles Cook and Muriel Elaine Cook nee Zeisler (grandparents) North Fort Myers, FL., Charles Edward Doucette (grandfather) of Villa Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lois Rae Doucette nee Ford.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at The Bridge Community Church, 260 E. Pages Lane, Centerville, Utah, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. to be held at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah, prior to the service. There will also be a viewing on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
