Margaret Deffendol Pitts

MARGARET PITTS

1938-2014

Margaret Deffendol Pitts passed away suddenly on Friday, March 21, 2014 in Bountiful, Utah.  She was born on November 2, 1938 in Price, Utah to parents Fred Scott and Thelma Powell Deffendol.  She married Richard D. Pitts June 27, 1957 in the Salt Lake City Temple. 

Margaret was a faithful member of the LDS church, attending the Grandview 2nd Ward, Mesa Central Stake, Mesa, Arizona, where she served in many positions.  She was a Ward Missionary for 10 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard D. Pitts; son Michael R. Pitts; daughters, Michelle Pitts Medved, Nicolle Pitts McKinnon, Aimee Pitts Castillo;  brothers Ted Deffendol, Scott Deffendol;  sister Sheri Deffendol Larsen, and 11 loving grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT. where friends may visit from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.  Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
