Margaret L. Peacock Poulsen
WASHINGTON TERRACE a" Margaret L. Peacock Poulsen died Monday, September 1, 2008 at Legacy House in Washington Terrace.
She was born March 26, 1920 in Ogden, the daughter of Claude and Fern Peacock.
After graduating from Ogden High School, Margaret married Ormond J. Poulsen on July 27, 1938, moving to Liberty soon after where they raised their five children on the family farm.
Margaret was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Liberty 1st Ward.
Mom was very proud she was the first woman school bus driver for Weber County. She loved her membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers serving as Captain and also in many other capacities.
She worked at the I.R.S., D.D.O., and H.A.F.B.
Following her retirement, she loved her volunteer job at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Surviving are four children, Darrell (Sue) Poulsen, Randy Poulsen, Paula (Jim) Smith, all of Liberty; Judy (Roger) Bambrough, South Weber; 10 grandchildren and "Grandma Great" had 13 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Also surviving is one brother, Gerald Peacock, and one sister-in-law, Bobbie Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ormond J. Poulsen, one son Ormond "Buster" Poulsen, and two brothers, Sydney C. Peacock and Franklin Peacock.
The family would like to thank mom''s extended family at Legacy House who took such good care of her, Hospice For Utah, Andrea, Specialty Nursing, Danelle, Kathy, Tasha, and Dorothy Robbins.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
