While working there, she met her husband, Robert C. Rush in 1947. They were married June 19, 1948 in Ogden, Utah and were later sealed in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. Bob passed away March 10, 2001.

She also enjoyed sewing for her girls, bowling, playing cards, working in her garden and camping with family and friends.
