Margaret “Maggie” Jane Stone Scriven

October 4, 1924 ~ September 14, 2018

Margaret Jane “Maggie” Stone Scriven passed away Friday, September 14, 2018.

She was born October 4, 1924 in Ogden, Utah to Archie and Florence Drysdale Milligan. She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1942.

She married Edwin Jay Stone in 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1966. Margaret married Major Edward Scriven in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Maggie received her LPN in 1965 and worked at St. Benedict Hospital and Crestwood Care Center for 22 years.

She was a 50 year member of Miriam Chapter #14 Order of the Eastern Star and Lydia Temple Daughters of the Nile.

Maggie was always a caregiver, making sure we had enough to eat and in her spare time she was knitting and crocheting. She loved cats and traveling, enjoying summers up at the cabin, but most of all she loved her family.

We love and miss you, Mom.

Margaret is survived by Edwina “Eddy” Holliday, Ogden; Lee (Nancy) Stone, Ogden; Jesse (Amelia) Stone, Ogden; Florence Stone, Marriott-Slaterville; step-children, Bonnie May Kempen, WA; Edward D. (Joanne) Scriven, OR; Robert Lee (Kathy) Scriven, NV; Carol Ardell Harris, and Judy Marie Johnson, both of Ogden; and many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her spouses, and by a daughter, Charlotte Thomsen.
