Margaret Woolums
“Together Forever”
Margaret Jean Moore Woolums, 88, passed away April 25, 2008 in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born January 18, 1920 in Milford, Utah the daughter of Wilson and Louree Skinner Moore. She graduated from Milford High School as the valedictorian. She moved with her family to Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah with a business degree. She married Charles Woolums, February 2, 1944, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Margaret followed her husband for 24 years in the military, to Japan, Germany, Ft. Douglas and Logan. They later made their home in Bountiful where she was close to her neighbors and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel and spent her life in service to others in numerous church and community callings. Together Charles and Margaret served missions to San Diego, Salt Lake Temple grounds, and the Ogden Temple.
She was a great mother, grandmother, and wife, always giving of her self to others. Never saying a cross word to anyone.
Survived by her daughter Susan Dixon (Dennis), Charles (Jeanne), and Edward; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband Charles, son John, and brother Doug.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Bountiful 16th Ward Chapel, 720 E. 550 N. Friends may call Friday, May 2nd, from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. 9:45-10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment Monday, May 5th at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
