Margarete Schmidt Brown

Our beloved angel, Margarete Schmidt Brown, returned to Heaven on Friday, December 31, 2010.

She was born November 27, 1924 in Hailer, Germany to Wilhelm and Magdaline Schmidt.

On September 9, 1948, Margarete married her sweetheart, Robert L. Brown, II in Hailer, Germany. From this union were born five children, Patricia A. (David) Nielson, Tremonton; Pamela L. (Rick) Wood, Afton, WY; Peggy L. (Jim) Sorensen, Pleasant View; Robert L. (Shasta) Brown, III, Myton; and Sandra H. (Michael) Wilde, Roy. She was graced with 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, several brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, a grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Margarete spent many years as a self-employed housekeeper in which she touched many lives and made lifetime friends.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family fishing, camping and laughing. We will cherish forever the time we spent making memories with our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

The family would like to express the deepest of thanks to Dr. Senekjian, Dr. Almony and the emergency staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center for their upstanding service provided to our loving mother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
