Margene Hunsaker Blanch passed away peacefully on December 24, 2017. She was born in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho on January 10, 1930 to Abraham Hunsaker IV and Ella Potter Hunsaker.
She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1948. She was a brilliant artist and attended Woodbury Art Institude in Los Angeles and Utah State University. She worked for her uncle Tom Hunsaker at Hunsaker Motors. Tom had a custom 1952 pink convertible made for her that she loved. She then worked at Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City and the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden.
She married Dwayne E. Blanch on August 31, 1956. They have five surviving children, Judy Caldwell (Kevin), twins, Kevin Blanch and Karen Ficklin (Kerwin), Brad Blanch (Deena) and Debra Blanch. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and Dwayne. Together they were known as Maggie and Digger. Digger passed away in 2000 from AML Leukemia. Her remaining years were spent with her children and grandchildren in West Weber, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne; her two sisters, Ivolene and Janice; and her grandson, Kaleb Eddy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
