Margie Ilene (Lund) Butt

Margie Butt, age 86, passed away July28, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Margie was born in Mount Pleasant, Utah on October 26, 1935 to James Lauritz Lund and Jennie Nellie Elnora Larsen.

She remained an active member of the LDS Church throughout her life. Mom especially enjoyed her time serving others in the ward library. She worked many jobs throughout her life starting as a youth until she was unable to work anymore.  Mom’s devotion to serve her sons Jerry and Michael made her an extraordinary mother. Her love for flowers lasted throughout her life, peonies were her favorite. Her love for her family and friends along with a sense of humor will always be in our hearts.

Margie Ilene Butt is survived by her children Randal (Glynis) Bursett, Jerry Butt, Kevin (Shawna) Bursett, brother Melvin (Marilyn) Lund, sister Ruth Latimer. Margie is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild. Margie was preceded in death by her son Michael Butt, parents James (Nellie) Lund, her beloved brothers Gordon and Robert Lund and her sister Opal Latimer.

A viewing will be held August 13^th from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at Memorial Murray Mortuary. Located at 5850 S 900 E Murray, UT.  A Graveside Service will follow at Murray City Cemetery at 11:00 AM located at 5490 S Vine ST. Murray, UT.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kalva, and everyone at Highland Care Center and Inspiration Hospice for their kindness and service to Margie.
