Maria (GRANDMA DEE) Deloras (Samora) Pecht

Maria Deloras (Samora) Pecht, 79, passed away on March 6th, 2025 surrounded by family. She married Leonard Lee Pecht in 1965 and in this union, they had three daughters and were later divorced. Maria was born February 16th 1946 in Delta, Colorado and later moved to Utah. She was the daughter of Ralph and Lena (Rodarte) Samora.

She was a devoted and lifelong member of the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton, Utah.

Mom enjoyed being surrounded by her family and her fur babies, Savie, Benji and Peanut. Maria grew up helping her family on their farm. Mom loved dancing to Mexican music. She loved camping and fishing. Mom was always ready for playing bingo and a trip to Wendover.

Maria is survived by her 3 daughters, Tammy Pecht Delgado (Johnnie - deceased), Angel Pecht Estes (Barry), Steffine Pecht Miller (David). 2 bonus children, Louie Samora, and Paula Abeyta-Gonzalez. Additionally, Maria is survived by her 10 grandchildren and an increasing number of great grandchildren.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 4 sisters and special granddaughter Savanna Pacheco.

The family would like to thank son-in-law David Miller for all the love and compassion.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday March 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family Wednesday March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. A vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 S. State Street, Clearfield, Utah.
