Maria D. Trujillo
OGDEN a" Maria D. Trujillo peacefully went with our Heavenly Father on Monday, June 7, 2010 at Mt. Ogden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Maria was born September 8, 1919 in Edith, Colorado, to Alcario and Elena Perea. She was raised in Colorado.
She married Juan A. Trujillo in 1945. Together they had three children, Noah (Carlota) Trujillo, Grand Junction, CO; Delilah (Joe) Gutierrez, Ogden, UT; Dolores (John) Prince, Chula Vista, CA. Maria had eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Juan preceded her in death in 1983.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting and being surrounded by her loving family. She was a faithful, Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was the oldest member of C.L.U.B.B. Jesus. She also loved reading her bible.
The family extends their gratitude and thanks to the staff, nurses and C.N.A.''s at Mt. Ogden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who treated their mother and grandmother with love and respect. A special thanks to Octavio who always showed her special love and attention, and to Aspire Hospice Services for their dedication and professional care.
Surviving are her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
Along with her husband, Maria was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
Family will visit with friends at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. where Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
