Mariam Geovjian

Mariam Geovjian Mariam Geovjian passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at her home in North Salt Lake, Utah. She was born June 1, 1928 in Alepo, Syria the daughter of Hovanes Topdjian and Levonik Kasarjian. Married Hovanes John Geovjian May of 1952. They moved to Salt Lake City in 1973 and have lived in North Salt Lake for the last 25 years. She was a member of the Armenia Orthodox Church. Mariam is survived by her children Angelo Geovjian, Toro (Mary) Geovjian, Lena Kavassian, Arpik Basmajian and Dalita (Kevork) Gogikian; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jake (Hosana) Topdjian and sister Azad (Soghmon)Apelian. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Moses and George Topdjian and sister Helen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 279 S. 300 W. Salt Lake City with burial to follow at Bountiful City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
