Maria (Mary) Antonia Chavez Byrns
CLINTON – On August 19, 2016 our precious mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Maria (Mary) Antonia Chavez Byrns passed away peacefully at her home from a broken heart from recently losing her husband.
Mary was born July 25, 1934 to Frank and Benita Chavez in Grand Junction, CO. She was the last survivor of her family of 17 siblings. Mary was raised mostly by her siblings.
She met and married Robert Byrns on July 7, 1952. Mary had many jobs in her life but her toughest job and greatest accomplishment was raising her six children and helping to raise many grandchildren.
Mary had a wonderful sense of humor she never met anyone that she did not make laugh. She loved to travel and visit her family and loved playing the slots every chance she could. Her dog Guyroosh was her pride and joy!
She will be welcomed in the house of the Lord with the open arms of her husband Bob and grandson Justin.
