Marian S. Brewer

Marian S. Brewer OGDEN - Marian Soderquist Brewer, age 83, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009. She was born in Ogden, Utah on February 8, 1926, to Joseph Emile and Edna Beus Soderquist. Marian was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a full time proselyting mission in Northern California where she met Mervin Ray Brewer whom she married in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on January 25, 1952. She was the mother of six children. Marian lived her life anxiously engaged in the service of others, volunteering her time and talents. She was a talented seamstress and an exceptional cook. She is survived by her sister, Sue Soderquist Hyer; her children, Marianne (Brent) Gourley, Wendy (Jerome) Horowitz, Terrie (David) Simmons, Micheal Ray (Thelma) Brewer, Teresa (Lou) Martinez, Gayle Brewer; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Mervin, brother, Emile Beus Soderquist and brother in law, Richard Benson Hyer. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 7, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Family and friends are invited to call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
