Marian Means Davis

Marian Evelyn Crossfield Davis, 87, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at her son''s home of natural causes.

Mrs. Davis was born August 20, 1921 in Iowa City, Iowa to Everett and Mildred Means.

She moved to Roy, Utah where she married Ivel Crossfield and started a family. Marian worked at Utah General Depot and Hill Field. Upon the death of Ivel, Marian married Clinton Davis. She retired from Hill AFB, Utah and relocated to Columbia, South Carolina.

She was founding member of Our Savior''s Lutheran Church in Roy and enjoyed reading and traveling extensively. She was recognized for her dedication and work with the local chapter of AARP and senior citizens of Columbia, South Carolina.

Her children noted, "Mom always had a positive outlook on life and enjoyed meeting people and making friends. She will be missed greatly by her family and everyone who knew her."

Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, John Everett Crossfield, Ogden; daughter, Susan Jane (Larry) Rasmussen, West Tawakoni, TX; grandchildren, Heather Finch, Colorado Springs, CO; Jennefer Bailey, Alvarado, TX; Stephanie Rasmussen, Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren, Courtney Bailey, Kaylin Finch, Ella Finch; a brother, Duane Means, Iowa City, IA; and a sister, Dorothy Ingram, Oklahoma City, OK.

Memorial services will be held Monday, August 17th at 10 a.m. at Our Savior''s Lutheran Church, 5560 South 2300 West, Roy.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Our Savior''s Lutheran Church Building Fund.
