Marie Curie Higgins Bartlett

Marie Curie Higgins Bartlett, loving mother, grandma and great-grandma passed away November 6, 2011 due to natural causes with her son by her side. She was born in Ogden to Walter and Eliza Hall Higgins on November 19, 1923. She was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High in 1942.

She was married to Thomas L. Bartlett in 1943. They later divorced. She retired from IRS in 1980 after 30 years of federal service, 26 of those years in management.

Mom loved reading, art, national politics, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and spending time with her son and grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her son Thomas L. Bartlett Jr., Harrisville; grandsons, Thomas L. Bartlett III, North Ogden; and Kelly G. Bartlett, Harrisville; great-grandchildren, Ty Thomas Bartlett and Kirra Marie Bartlett.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandson Carter Bartlett; sisters, Jesse Power and Betty Lovell Siddoway; brothers, Leonard Higgins and Jack Higgins.

Honoring mom''s request there will be no formal services. A private service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank mom''s close friend LaNeil Larsen for her help and friendship throughout the years, as well as all of the medical staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
