Marie McTee

“Together Again” Long time Utah resident, Marie McTee, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at age 69. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Marie was born on October 3, 1943, in Savage, Maryland and moved to Utah at age five with her mother, Marie Lang, and her sister, Pearl. She was later blessed with 2 more sisters, Glenda and Bernie, whom she loved very much. Marie absolutely loved school. At age 13, she met the man that would be her husband, David Scott McTee, Sr. They were sealed in the LDS temple and had three wonderful children, David Scott McTee, II, Linda Marie and Tanya Louise. She was a cook for most of her life, but what she was most was a mother. Her family was her world in every way; she did nothing for herself, but everything for the ones she loved. Having them over for Sunday dinners, celebrating with them and taking care of them was what she lived for. Marie is survived by her son, David (Valerie) McTee; daughters, Lynda (Sean) Miller and Tanya Whitfield; grandchildren, Lynsie (Jeremy), Colton, Shaylie (Guy), Shelby (Dakota), Sherri, Seanee, Jaxon, Stormee, and Dareious; great-granddaughter, Hadliegh and sister, Bernie Martinez. She was preceded in death by her husband; mother; father, Ben Riley; sisters, Glenda and Pearl, and her great-grandson, Jacob Daley. Marie will be greatly missed. Her family takes comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her husband. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
