Marie Dean Warren

November 6, 1939 — March 22, 2024

On the afternoon of March 22, 2024, our beloved mother, grandmother,  and great-grandmother, Marie Dean Warren, passed away at the age of 84.

She was the seventh child born to her parents Adrian and Leatha Smith Dean on November 6, 1939, in Ogden, Utah. Mom spent her childhood in North Ogden and attended Weber High School. She was a lifelong resident of North Ogden.

Mom and our father, Steven B. Warren, were married on March 17, 1956 in Brigham City, Utah. They were neighborhood sweethearts before marrying, and were inseparable for 65 years before our father passed in July of 2021.

They were blessed with four sons, Scott, Kevin, Lance, and Mark. Mom and Dad moved to their current home in North Ogden 52 years ago. Mom was a stay-at-home mother until her four children were raised. In 1982, she began working for the Ogden City School District as a cook and spent time working at Ben Lomond High School and Gramercy Elementary before retiring in 2005. She dearly loved the children and those she worked with and continued to remember and share memories of those special moments.

Mom is survived by her children, Scott (Kathryn) Warren, Kevin (Peggy) Warren, Lance Warren, and Mark (Shelley) Warren; seven granddaughters, two grandsons, and ten great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Mom is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Linda) Dean and Kenny (Jolene) Dean; and sister-in-law, Connie Dean. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her siblings, Dale, Marvin, Betty, Shirley, Joseph, Ronald, and Larry; her in-laws, Donald and Berniece Warren; her brother-in-law, Dee Venable; and sister-in-law, Colleen Dean.

Graveside service for family will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Ben Lomond Cemetery.
