Marilyn Gailey Beazer
October 11, 1931 ~ July 12, 2015
Mom returned home to her Father in Heaven, at her daughter’s home on Sunday July 12, 2015, after battling lung cancer.
She was born in October 11, 1931 in Hooper, Utah, the fourth of seven children, to Francis Gailey and Eliza Ann Dyson. She had three sisters and three brothers. She attended schools in various places throughout the area.
She met Chad Beazer and they married on April 5, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 18, 1965. They had four sons and one daughter.
Mom served in the Ogden LDS Temple for many years. That was one of her most loved highlights of her life. She held many church callings the last one was that of Sunday School greeter. They loved her and still expect her to walk in and greet the class. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP).
She loved bowling and bowled with a perfect game (300). She always enjoyed the calls and visits from her family and friends, especially the little grandchildren. She made beautiful crocheted blankets for baby blessings. During the last months of her life, the greatest highlights were her weekly trips to lunch with her sister and brothers and games of Yahtzee with her sister.
Marilyn is survived by one sister and three brothers, Elaine (Dean) Burch, Frank A., James Marlo (Jackie), David Kent (Betty) Gailey; four sons and one daughter, Daniel Ray, Ogden; Ronald, SLC: Douglas, Ogden; Sandra (Larry) Strong, Roy; Jim (Annette) Beazer, OK; 21 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
