Marilyn Warnick Cook

December 27, 1926 ~ May 23, 2017

Marilyn was born on the 27th of December 1926 in Pleasant Grove, Utah the daughter of Merrill N. and Lurena E. Warnick.  She grew up in Pleasant Grove and later married Reed Holt Walker which brought them four children, later divorced.  Then married Richard Cook and later divorced.

Marilyn worked for the State of Utah, Driver License Division, and State Capital Building, and retired on July 1, 1987 from there.  She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and the PBX Club.  She loved gardening and watching things grow; she was always amazed at the beauty around us.  She loved the changes in the mountains as the seasons changed.

Marilyn is survived by her four children, Susanne W. (David) Mangel, Colleen (Richard) Varney, Lance D (Candace) Walker, and Craig S. (Brenda) Walker; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Nancy; and brother Eldredge and his wife, Mary.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
