Marilyn Thornley Cue
Marilyn Thornley Cue, age 75, a long time resident of Layton, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Born January 20, 1936 to Harriet D and William J Thornley. She was preceded in death by her life partner Gayford A., brothers Jack and Dick and sister Aljo. Marilyn was a resident of Layton for most of her life. She graduated from Davis High School and worked at Layton High School for many years.
She loved the outdoors and was always looking forward to her next camping adventure. She was an accomplished horsewoman and liked nothing better than to saddle up and head out. Her favorite music was the wind in the pines.
In her final years she lived the rural lifestyle she loved with family close by. She loved gardening and tending all the animals. Marilyn''s love of animals was familiar to all who knew her. Whether it was caring for bum lambs or taking in the numerous strays that seemed to find her. Her favorite saying was, "I love all animals and most people." Her kind heart and gentle loving way will be missed.
We love you.
