Marilyn Taylor Flint

Marilyn Taylor Flint, age 88, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home October, 24, 2017.
Marilyn was born in Ogden, Utah on March 28, 1929 to Gailord Lee and Afton Glenn Taylor. She married the love of her life, Vernon Webster Flint, on March 9, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They resided on the family farm in Kaysville, and enjoyed 68 wonderful years together.
Marilyn was raised in Harrisville, Layton, and Ogden, Utah. She attended North Davis Junior High, serving as a student body officer, where she met her Celestial partner, Vernon. She attended Davis High School and was an Ogden High Graduate. She attended Utah State University.
Marilyn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including Stake Sunday School, Relief Society Presidency and Temple Worker. Two of her favorite positions were teaching young children and working with the scouts. One of her strongest attributes was her unwavering faith and testimony of the Gospel.
Marilyn loved camping, traveling, music, dance, gardening, cooking, waterskiing, and spending time with her family. She served her family, neighbors, and community with great love and charity. She taught her children eternal principals through unconditional love and by being a consistent example. She taught the value of hard work and the importance of completing a task in an excellent manner.
Marilyn is survived by her children, John (Shauna), Linda Wright (Rod), and Steve (Peggy), 13 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren whom she all adored; two brothers, Blaine G. (Annette) and W. Glenn Taylor, one sister Sharon Ford (Richard). She is also survived by brother-in-law Jay Green, and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Iverson and Catherine Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister-in-law, Gail Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville Utah Stake Center, 615 North Flint Street, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
