Marilyn Smith Fotou

Marilyn Smith Fotou passed away May 20, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born December 3, 1935 to Asael Jenkins and Loa Hales Smith in Oakland, CA.

She was a member of the LDS Church and a descendant of the Joseph Smith family. Joseph F. Smith was her great-grandfather. She was very proud of her pioneer heritage.

She attended Utah State University.

On October 27, 1954, she married Martin Kralls Fotou.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, two sons, Mark S. Fotou (Pixie) of Kaysville, UT; and Steven G. Fotou (Gisele) of Gig Harbor, WA; and her grandsons, Austin Mark Fotou and Nicolas D. Fotou.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday one hour prior to services at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
