Marilyn Kay Lucas passed away following complications from a stroke.
Marilyn or Kay as she preferred to be called was born November 12, 1948 in Roosevelt, Utah to Howard Woodward Lucas and Lola Mae Perkins.
Kay had a great love for birds, especially cockatiel’s. Before her stroke she had three; Daisy, Vinny, and Sarah whom she referred to as her kids.
Over the years Kay worked for Desa Rose, Mervyn’s and a bakery. Here is where she learned to decorate the most fabulous wedding cakes. Over the years she has made many for family weddings.
Years ago Kay took a class on how to decorate Ukrainian eggs. She mastered this art of decorating and made man\y beautiful pieces. Some of us were lucky enough to get one.
Kay loved taking pictures and having parties. Her favorite singer of all time was Wayne Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Paul Lucas and a special dog Buddy.
Survived by sister-in-law Linda Lucas, Aunt Bonnie Allison, nephews Jeff (Becky) Lucas, Elvin (Amy) Lucas and niece Joanna Allison. Along with great nephews, nieces and many cousins.
There will be a Graveside held Friday May 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Altamont Cemetery, 3700 N. 16500 W, Altamont Utah.
Interment-Altamont, Utah.
