Marilyn Mae Payne (McGillivray)

Marilyn Mae Payne (McGillivray passed away April 14, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Staples, MN; on February 14, 1942.  She is preceded in death by her father Frank and mother Olga McGillivray.

Marilyn is survived by her life partner of 57 years “J.D.” Payne.  Marilyn is also survived by five children Walter; Linda; Annette; Michael; Jodi; 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

No Tears in Heaven

There are no tears in Heaven

Nor grief of any kind

I leave this final teardrop

To those I’ve left behind

Though absent from the body

I’m present with the Lord

The joy of my salvation

Is now my full reward

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Light of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1074 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
