Marion W. Bott SALT LAKE CITY – Marion Gilmore Wood Bott, 89, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Care Source Residence hospice in Salt Lake City. She was born January 7, 1918 in Ogden, a daughter of Richard and Mildred Shupe Gilmore. In 1939, Marion married William J. Bott, Jr., in Farmington. William preceded her in death on August 12, 1994. She was raised in Ogden and spent her retired life in Southern California. She returned to Utah where she resided for the past 10 years. Marion was an elegant woman who enjoyed her family and friends. She traveled extensively with her husband, was an active volunteer of the Ogden Junior League, and was an avid golfer and bridge player. She loved chocolate and the QVC jewelry program. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Richard (JoAnn) Bott, Kaysville; Jeri (Matt) James, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and an abundance of nieces and nephews. Preceding Marion in death were her husband, her son William Bott, III (who died in his youth), one brother and one sister. The family expresses special thanks to her physician, Dr. Cheri Brunker and her nephew Dr. Kirk M. Gilmore, sincere gratitude to the Care Source’s loving staff and to her many dear friends at Mill Creek Retirement Residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Care Source Charitable Foundation (801-266-7200). Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. An open house in memory of Marion will be held Tuesday, October 9th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Millcreek Retirement Residence, 777 East 3900 South Salt Lake City, Utah.
