Marion Rae Cumming

– Marion Rae Cumming (Meme, Mae) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Heritage Park Care Center. She was born December 27, 1912 in Winnipeg, Canada, the daughter of J. Reuben and Minnie Binnie. On March 6, 1936, she married William J. Cumming in Evanston, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1961. Marion worked for the Frank M. Browning companies and Bank of Utah for 38 years, retiring December 31, 1983. She attended Roy Bible Church and was active in Christian Business and Professional Women. She enjoyed exercising with her friends at the Roy Complex. Marion is survived by her son, George G. (Laura) Cummings, Roy; a special friend who was considered a member of the family, Alice Faye Palmer, Morgan; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, including Stephanie and Kira, whom she tended and grew very close to; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many others who called her “grandma”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, a brother, George Binnie and her parents. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Uintah City Cemetery, 1500 East 6600 South, with Pastor Tom Moorhouse, officiating. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
