Marion Hooton, 89, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born on May 12, 1934, in Clarksville, Missouri, the son of Ernest Lloyd and Mary Jonas Harvey Hooton.
He married Shirley May Bradshaw on November 10, 1961 in Bowling Green, Missouri. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona for a time, Marion and Shirley settled in Wickenburg, Arizona where he lived for 39 years.
Marion worked and retired as a truck driver for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Phoenix Trap Skeet Gun Club and a member of the Teamster Retiree Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends.
Marion is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley M. Hooton; daughters, Lori J. Bell of Arizona and Loretta L. Wallis of Utah; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Hooton and sister, Maryemma Brown both of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Tommy, Bob and Joe Hooton.
