Marion Hartley Quilter

Centerville—Marion Hartley Quilter, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend joined her eternal companion on September 24, 2015.

Marion was born May 1, 1930 in Morecambe, Lancashire, England to Clifford and Mary Hartley.  Marion immigrated to the United States in 1949.

Marion married her eternal sweetheart Fred Quilter on February 14, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and fulfilled many callings.

Marion always put her family first and filled her home with love and laughter.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Marion is survived by her two daughters:  Suzanne (Ken) Steab of Kaysville, Utah and Sharon Quilter of Herriman, Utah.  She is also survived by her siblings:  Joan Lund, Betty Homer, Doris (Jerry) Malm, Melvin (Joanie) Hartley, Muriel (Larry) Powers, Mike (Pam) Hartley, Philip (Ann) Hartley, Ruth (Mike) Robins, Dorothy (Robert) Richards, and Carolyn (Jay) McDonald.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her parents, sister Catherine Mabey, and brother Gordon Hartley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 300 East 200 South in Centerville.  There will be a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Interment in the Lakeview Bountiful Cemetery.  Services entrusted to Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary.
